Curriculum Orientation Programme – IGNITE 2026

As part of IGNITE 2026, the Orientation Programme for the newly admitted B.Ed. batch, St. Jacob's Training College, Menamkulam, organized a Curriculum Orientation Session on 14 July 2026. The session was led by Dr. Rahul V. R., Associate Professor, Government College of Teacher Education, Thiruvananthapuram. Dr. Rahul provided the student teachers with a comprehensive introduction to the B.Ed. curriculum, explaining its structure, objectives, and various academic components. He elaborated on the different practicum activities, internal assessment procedures, school internship, reflective practices, records, assignments, seminars, and other curriculum requirements to be completed during the programme. The session also familiarized students with the expectations, responsibilities, and professional competencies essential for successful completion of the B.Ed. course.He also discussed the wide range of career opportunities available after the successful completion of the B.Ed. course, encouraging students to explore diverse professional avenues in the field of education and beyond.
